Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Match Loop LLC ("Match Loop," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the Match Loop website at matchloop.app and the related mobile applications (together, the "Service").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements. The Service is not directed to children, and accounts may not be created for or by anyone under 18.
2. Your account
You are responsible for the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised. You may not share your account, impersonate anyone, or create an account using someone else's information without permission.
3. What Match Loop does
Match Loop is a tool that helps tennis team captains manage rosters, post lineups, collect player availability, and coordinate rescheduled ("rain makeup") matches, including with opposing captains through guest links. Match Loop is a coordination and record-keeping tool only. We do not run leagues, set league rules, schedule matches on your behalf, or guarantee any scheduling outcome. Decisions about lineups, eligibility, scheduling, and compliance with league rules remain entirely with you and your league.
4. Roles: captains and players
Captains can create teams, add players to rosters, assign lineups, request availability, and initiate makeup coordination. If you are a captain, you are responsible for the accuracy of roster information you enter and for having a legitimate basis to add a given player to your team. Players control their own availability responses and account information. By participating on a team, you understand that team-relevant information about you (such as your availability and lineup assignments) is visible to your captain and, as appropriate, your teammates and opposing captains, as described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Information you enter about other people
The Service is built around team rosters, so captains enter information about other people — for example, a player's name and email, or an opposing captain's response submitted through a guest link. If you enter information about another person, you represent that you have the authority or consent to provide it and to have us process it to operate the Service. You agree not to enter information about anyone you do not have a legitimate basis to include, and not to enter information about a child under 13. If we are notified that information was entered without authority, we may remove it.
6. Guest submissions
A captain may invite an opposing captain to respond to a makeup proposal through a one-time guest link, without creating an account. If you use a guest link, you agree to provide accurate scheduling information, and you agree that your submission (such as a proposed date or a confirmation) may be recorded and shared with the captains involved for the purpose of coordinating the match. These Terms apply to your use of a guest link.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any league rule you are bound by;
- upload or enter information you do not have the right to use, or that infringes anyone's rights;
- enter sensitive personal information (such as health, financial, or government-ID details) about yourself or others;
- enter information about a child under 13;
- attempt to access data you are not authorized to see, or interfere with the Service's security or row-level access controls;
- scrape, harvest, or use automated means to extract data from the Service, or access it through any means other than the interfaces we provide;
- reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure; or
- misuse guest links, invitations, or notifications to harass or spam others.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
8. Plans, billing, and auto-renewal
8.1 Where plans are sold
Paid plans are purchased only on our website at matchloop.app. Our mobile apps are free to download and do not sell plans or process payments; if you use a mobile app, you sign in to an account whose plan you manage on the website. Payments are processed by Stripe, and your purchase is also subject to Stripe's terms.
8.2 Plans and prices
Match Loop offers a per-season team plan ($15 per season) and an annual multi-team plan ($45 per year). Current plans and prices are shown at checkout.
8.3 The annual plan automatically renews — please read
The $45 annual plan is an automatically renewing subscription. When you purchase it, we ask you to give separate, affirmative consent to the automatic-renewal terms before we collect your payment information. This means:
- Your subscription automatically renews once each year at the then-current annual price, and the payment method on file is charged at the start of each new term, until you cancel.
- You authorize us (through Stripe) to charge your payment method for each renewal term.
- After purchase, we send you an acknowledgment of the renewal terms and how to cancel, and we send you a reminder before each renewal.
The $15 per-season plan does not automatically renew. It is purchased separately each season, and your payment method is not charged again unless you buy another season.
8.4 How to cancel
You may cancel at any time — online, from your account settings on matchloop.app, using a cancellation option that takes effect promptly and without any additional steps beyond those needed to confirm. You may also email [email protected]. Cancellation stops future renewals. To avoid being charged for the next term, cancel before your current term ends. When you cancel, you keep access through the end of the term you already paid for.
8.5 Refunds
Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, and partial-term cancellations are not prorated.
8.6 Price changes
We may change plans and prices. If a change affects your renewing subscription, we will give you advance notice before it takes effect, and the new price will apply only to terms beginning after the notice. Your continued subscription after the change takes effect means you accept the new price.
9. Your content and the license you give us
You keep ownership of the information and content you submit ("Your Content"). To operate the Service, you grant Match Loop a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and transmit Your Content solely to provide and improve the Service, including sharing it with the team members, opposing captains, and service providers described in the Privacy Policy. You represent that you have the rights necessary to submit Your Content and to grant this license.
10. Third-party league data; no affiliation
Captains may manually enter or upload publicly visible league information (such as schedules and standings) to set up teams. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any information you provide.
Match Loop is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the United States Tennis Association (USTA), TennisLink, Tenniscores, Tennis Competitors of Dallas (TCD), the Metroplex Tennis League, or any other league, association, or governing body. All league names, logos, and trademarks are the property of their respective owners and are referenced only to describe compatibility and for the convenience of users.
11. Our intellectual property
The Service itself — including its software, design, text, and the Match Loop name and logo — is owned by Match Loop LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from the Service except as expressly permitted.
12. Copyright and DMCA
We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent with: your contact information; identification of the copyrighted work; identification of the allegedly infringing material and where it is located; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and you are authorized to act; and your signature.
Copyright Agent: Match Loop LLC, 4909 Walton Heath Dr, Garland, TX 75044, [email protected].
We may remove infringing material and terminate repeat infringers.
13. Third-party services and app stores
The Service relies on third-party providers, including Supabase, Cloudflare, Google, Resend, Anthropic, and Stripe, and may link to or interoperate with other third-party services. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third parties, and your use of their services may be governed by their own terms. The providers we use are described in our Privacy Policy.
If you download a mobile app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, your use is also subject to that store's terms. The store provider is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the Service.
14. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, that scheduling information will be accurate, or that the Service will meet your requirements. You are responsible for verifying match schedules, lineups, eligibility, and deadlines with your league. Match Loop is not responsible for missed matches, defaults, scheduling errors, or league penalties.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.
15. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MATCH LOOP LLC AND ITS OWNER WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS ($50).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
16. Dispute resolution; arbitration and class action waiver
16.1 Informal resolution first
Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at [email protected] and try to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
16.2 Binding arbitration
If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, you and Match Loop agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis, rather than in court, except that either party may bring a qualifying claim in small claims court. The arbitration will be administered by a recognized arbitration provider under its consumer rules, and judgment on the award may be entered in any court with jurisdiction. The Federal Arbitration Act governs the interpretation and enforcement of this section.
16.3 Class action waiver
You and Match Loop agree that each may bring claims against the other only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims or preside over any form of class proceeding.
16.4 Mass arbitration
If 25 or more similar arbitration demands are filed by or with the help of the same or coordinated counsel, the parties agree the demands will be administered in staged batches to promote efficiency, and any applicable filing deadlines are tolled for demands not yet in an active batch. This provision is intended to allow the orderly, individual resolution of related disputes.
16.5 Opt-out
You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing [email protected] with your name and a statement that you opt out of arbitration. If you opt out, the governing law and venue section below applies to disputes instead. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.
17. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Except for disputes subject to arbitration under Section 16, you agree that any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
18. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time — directly within the Service (including from within the mobile apps) or by emailing [email protected]. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. On termination, the licenses you grant us and the provisions that by their nature should survive — including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, dispute resolution, and indemnification — will survive. Account deletion and data handling are described in our Privacy Policy.
19. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Match Loop LLC and its owner from any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any law or any third party's rights, or information you submit, including roster or league data you enter without the right to do so.
20. Electronic communications
By using the Service, you consent to receive communications from us electronically — including notices, agreements, and disclosures — by email or through the Service, and you agree that electronic communications satisfy any legal requirement that a communication be in writing.
21. Force majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, outages of third-party infrastructure or service providers, network failures, labor disputes, or governmental actions.
22. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and provide reasonable notice, such as an in-app notice or email. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.
23. General
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Match Loop regarding the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect, and the unenforceable provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Notices to you may be sent to the email associated with your account; notices to us go to [email protected].
